Children's Art Competition
Charles Tunnicliffe was a famous artist from our town of Macclesfield. He loved looking at nature and drawing what he saw. He was inspired by nature.
Are you inspired by nature? Do you love being outside looking at animals and plants? If the answer is yes we want you to send us your creations.
We will make a slide show of all the pictures for our Tunnicliffe120 webpage and a video slideshow at the Library, Museum and Visitor Centre. There will also be an exhibition of some of the entries at the library during February half-term.
How to enter
Collect an entry form from the Silk Museum or Macclesfield Library. Or download and print one from here.
Draw your picture on the back of the entry form – use your imagination to illustrate the wonderful animals, birds and plants that you see. Use what ever art form appeals to you – drawing, painting, collage.
Entries can be handed in at the Silk Museum or Macclesfield Library. You can send a digital entry to [email protected]
The deadline for entries is February 14th 2022.
Entry is open to everyone aged 11 and under.
Each picture will go into a prize draw and you could win a fabulous prize.
- A Tunnicliffe art workshop for your whole class
- A pack of art materials
- Art and drawing books
- RSPB pin badge and bird book
A selection of the entries will be shown in an exhibition at Macclesfield library during February half-term. All entries will be part of a digital slideshow on this website, in the library and at the Silk Museum.
